最熟悉的陌生人

I can't believe that i'm adding one more blog and one more "Yahoo messenger" to my already wired connection...

Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo mail, MSN, Yahoo messenger, My Space. Facebook, Blogspot. You name it. I'm found in all of these spaces. I left traces of my fingerprints in these spaces at some point in history...Does this mean that i'm made more available to a world of strangers? Strangers who may knew me through some of these psuedo names/persona? Can we truly be friends with those who knew us here as strangers but never really know us there in the real world? As we become more visible to the virtual world, it seems we become less transparent to our friends and real people from our world. We sometimes tend to keep our emotions, feelings and thoughts to ourselves only to let them resurface again in these empty spaces. My brother who's an even much more serious techno abuser is plugged into his own world of wires...and connections. It seemed really strange to me that i can only really know my brother, his life, his dreams and passions through his facebook and get to chat or speak to him tenderly only through msn....

As i ponder over these empty white space, i can't help but think technology hasn't really help the world (at least me) abit to relate to the people who really matters to us. Instead, we become just like familiar strangers to one another.
