菊花台

My PC is dying..... before i send it off for a major operation, thought i could still leave some "last words" here in this space before who knows when it will see daylight again. Thank goodness i can still get into the internet despite at a snail pace.

After my writer's blog been lifted, i find myself having this incessant need to express my "artistic" flair whether in writing or in music. I thought i have lost it. The music touch. After much persuasion from friends from BSF who came visiting yesterday, i finally did a mini "public" performance. Thank gdness i didn't make a fool of myself in front of them! Today, went to Nat's house and finally got to hear her very talented brother Erwin played on his clavinova. I was sooo impressed by him. What a guy. Talented without a doubt. And yet humble to the core. You would never have guessed a "cheena" looking man like him could play so well on the piano, guitar, organ & flute. Just playing from his heart. And never would imagine that he'd attended ivy league schools like NYU, Boston U & the Imperial College of London. Spending more than 10 years overseas hasn't turned him into one of those fake potatoe speaking wanabes. Wow, too bad love came too late! Haha. I learned some new chords from him today. He taught me how to use those flats to achieve some jazzy tunes. I can't wait to get my fingers on those keys. Erwin played Jay Chou's piano piece from the movie "Curse of the Golden Flower". Ever since returning home, i have been listening to it. Playing it over again and again and hopefully able to remember the piece by heart so i can play it on the piano. It's past midnight now. And my finger's finally stopped it's trembling effect from overplaying the badminton today. I shall go play 菊花台 now. Round midnight.

Gibberish

Writer's block. That's what i am experiencing now. So many things i want to write about lately. Things I have seen, overheard conversations, emotional feelings, pleasant encounters, bad experiences, good experiences, books i've read, songs i've heard, news articles, interesting quotes...

There are times when my fingers just can't stop hitting the keyboards and go on and on and on...and then there's times also (like now) i will make out a sentence and then find myself stuck in the middle of a sentence and has to hit the backspace key....and then back and forth and back and forth until this just keep repeating itself and finally i just lost all patience to write anything.

I hope i won't experience this too often in my personal life. This oxymoronic process. Life just can't go on like this when one is stuck in a rut and yet still allow oneself to be stucked. What do i do then? Well, i just willed myself to write. Even though it's gibberish at first. But as i kept going and going, gibberish may turn out to be something readable at some point. And finally made some sense.
